The partnership initiated in 2020 between the French company RBX Créations and the German research center DITF Denkendorf received a new award last September: the International Cooperation Prize at the annual conference of the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF), held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
In this event, the two partners successfully hold a presentation entitled “Next generation cellulosic filaments supporting sustainable agriculture: HighPerCell® meets Iroony®.” HighPerCell® refers to the spinning technology developed by DITF, based on a closed-loop ionic liquid process. Iroony® is RBX Créations' brand name for its materials developed from agricultural biomass, particularly hemp, through cellulose extraction.
The combination of these two areas of expertise allows for the production of hemp cellulose fibers and filaments – either 100% or blended with other plants – with versatile characteristics for various applications. The entire supply chain, from farmers to products development, is covered with the goal to promote sustainable options to the market -whether it is fashion, footwear or technical textiles.
